♦ Based on the popular Richard’s Coffee Shop in Mooresville, “Thelma’s Down Home Cooking” restaurant in the West End Plaza will open the Frontier Coffee Shoppe to cater to veterans. The plans call for a coffee shop where veterans can meet, hang out, and get free coffee and doughnuts on Tuesday mornings from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
The owner of Thelma’s Down Home Cooking is Thelma Luckey a veteran of the Army Reserve, who served in 864th Transportation Company, serving in Operation Desert Storm and Desert Shield.
