♦ All eyes in Rowan County will be watching the Rowan-Salisbury School Board Friday to see if the Board of Education will opt for court and sue the county taxpayers or accept the county’s proposal–basically the same one agreed upon on March 24th save for added legal language. The special meeting will be held at 8 a.m. at the 314 N. Ellis Street administrative offices.
The Board of Education will meet with their attorney Friday during its special meeting to review the revised version of the settlement proposal for capital needs sent to them from the Rowan County Commissioners. The proposal:

During the last commission meeting the county commissioners desired a dozen changes in the legal language added by the Board of Education attorney.
On Friday’s agenda is a discussion about the Rowan-Salisbury school system’s 2014-15 budget request.
