♦ From January 2014 until April 11th Republican and Unaffiliated ranks grew in Rowan County due from 518 Democrat and Libertarian voters switching party registration. According to Board of Election figures some 470 Democrats and 5 Libertarian voters changed to Unaffiliated.
As of April 11th Rowan County has 91,632 voters registered in 45 precincts. 37,235 are Republicans, 30,359 are Democrats and 23,821 are unaffiliated.
Fringe lefty “La Resistance” aka “Downtown Salisbury ONLY” must surely be disappointed due to the small Democratic change to Unaffiliated.
The county and many parts of Salisbury are strongly conservative. Its expected that many voters in the County will turn out in large numbers to defeat “Downtown Salisbury ONLY” and throw off their stranglehold creating soaring poverty, crime, joblessness, and poor performing schools in Salisbury and negatively influenced the County statistics.
