♦ Carolyn Rice speaks about the violence and break-in plagued West End where the understaffed Salisbury Police appear challenged with patrolling. Shootings and break-ins on Grim Street have become too common place. The city government claimed recent “statistical victory” over crime in the West End while area residents deride these claims as bunk. Like many areas outside of “select” areas of downtown and the country club, the West End is given the short end of the stick.
