♦ Future competitive nightmares were predicted for Fibrant during its regrettable “soft rollout” in the Fall of 2010. Now the worst possible scenarios are coming to bare fruit. When the dust clears, Fibrant may be one of the slowest internet providers in North Carolina by 2015. The first high-speed shoe to drop was RST’s plans for a 100 gigabytes to many major North Carolina cities. Then yesterday AT&T U-verse announced they were firing up 21 major cities across the U.S.A. with 1 gig networks. Included were the Charlotte and Greensboro regions.
