♦ Saturday night at 11:40 p.m. a black male in his late teens to early 20′s with long braided hair shoved a woman to the floor in front of her children and grabbed a purse containing $3000 in the Salisbury Walmart at 323 S. Arlington Street. The woman, joined by several customers, pursued the purse snatcher out into the lot running toward Arlington Street near Old Concord Road where he jumped a fence and disappeared.
The woman was uninjured.
Besides the $3000 in Cash, the victim’s purse contained ID and an IPod.
Shortly after the incident the purse was found off Old Concord Road and the next morning in another location only her wallet was found.
