♦ The Rowan County Commission is scheduled to meet on May 5th at 3 p.m. in the J. Newton Cohen, Sr. Room in the Rowan County Administration Building at 130 West Innes Street, Salisbury, N.C.
Among the Commission Meeting Highlights are:
• Request for Public Hearing and Approval of Resolution for Financing of West End Plaza
• Proclamation for Shield-A-Badge With Prayer Awareness Month
• Juvenile Crime Prevention Council Funding Allocation for FY 14-15. The commission will consider approving the receipt of $322,700 in juvenile crime prevention funds from the N.C. Department of Public Safety’s division of administration. The money will serve programs serving delinquent, undisciplined and at-risk youth.
• Approval of Professional Engineering Services for the Gildan Yarns Roadway and Waterline Projects
• FY 2014 Vehicles Financing Proposals
• First Amendment to Purchase and Sale Agreement for Hutton Growth
