♦ According to sources in Spencer, N.C., a body was found between two houses on the 700 block of 4th Street at 8:45 this morning and a call was promptly made to the 911 dispatch. Investigators from the Spencer Police Department, the Rowan County Sheriff’s Department, and the SBI are on the scene. Investigators are now calling it a homicide and are going through the neighborhood, knocking on doors. The 700 block of 4th Street was closed to traffic earlier.
Investigators are seeking Rodney Wallace, 47. He’s 6’1” and about 200 lbs. He may be driving 1994 White Ford F-150 pickup.
Mr. Wallace is currently on probation for convictions earlier in 2014 for assault on a female and domestic criminal trespass according to the N.C. Department of Public Safety.
