♦ Supreme Court Rules EPA Lacks Authority in Some Cases to Regulate Greenhouse Gases!

The U.S. Supreme Court today placed to place limits on the sole EPA program to handle power plant and factory emissions of gases blamed for global warming.

The court ruled the EPA lacks authority in some cases to force companies to evaluate ways to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. This rule applies to companies requiring a permit to expand facilities or build new ones that might increase overall pollution. Carbon dioxide is the most common gas linked to global warming.
