♦ In Salisbury’s non-stop wave of vandalism its latest victims are Salisbury High School, Village Inn Pizza, and Checker Flag BBQ.
Rarely a day goes by without some area of the city getting “rocked”, windows blasted out by a chunk of concrete, spray painted gang graffiti, “stickering”, or car doors getting keyed. Who’s property “gets it” next?
Only a few weeks back windows were getting smashed in the West Innes business district and two wannabe artists stickered up downtown.
According to Salisbury Police sources vandals spray-painted Salisbury High’s gym door with white paint between 11 a.m. Thursday and Friday prior to a football game between Salisbury and West Rowan. Salisbury’s “spirit rock” also was spray-painted the words “Go West Rowan”.
Police reported two large windows were broken by unknown vandals at the Village Inn Pizza on 2138 Statesville Blvd. in Salisbury. The windows were broken by steel ball bearings either being shot or hurled at them. The windows were broken sometime between 10:30 P.M. Friday and 8:30 a.m. Saturday morning. The awnings above the widows showed signs of denting.
Checker Flag BBQ, on the 1500 block of South Main, was vandalized and reported it Saturday.
Anyone with information about these vandalism is asked to contact Salisbury-Rowan Crime Stoppers at 1-866-639-5245
