♦ As Salisbury, N.C. wilts under a blistering stretch of robberies and stickups, many unsolved, Friday the police are hunting for a black male who robbed the Cato Fashion store for women at 1030 Freeland Drive around 3:30 p.m. Giving the appearance of shopping, the robber first requested boots before menacing the store’s cashier and demanding she hurry up and open the register. He grabbed money and fled on foot.
Salisbury Police are hunting for a black man said to be in his 50’s, standing 5 foot, 11 inches and wearing jeans with a University of North Carolina t-shirt, a blue baseball cap, a navy blue University of North Carolina sweatshirt and sunglasses.
