♦ Salisbury High School, scene of a gang related student shooting earlier in the year, was locked down this morning when a man with a shotgun was reported near the school.
At the moment Salisbury High is undergoing a code yellow lockdown due to this morning’s report of a man with a shotgun.
As a precaution Salisbury Police locked down the school in response to a motorist alerting the police that a shotgun toting man was seen near the campus at 9 a.m. This led to an initial code red alert that was within the hour downgraded to a code yellow.
In code red lockdowns, all doors are secured and no one is permitted to enter or leave the building. During a code yellow lockdown, parents are only allowed to enter the building, but doors must remained locked. Students are not permitted to venture outside.
While officers remain on alert at the campus, the reported shotgun toting man was never located.
