♦ Great news for “cord cutters” (Persons who cut out of cable/satellite TV gouging and have gone to digital antennas and IPTV devices like Roku, Amazon Fire, Apple TV or XBMC) and miss such individual TV channels as ESPN, HBO, and Showtime–your wishes have been heard on high. In 2015 ESPN, HBO, and Showtime will be available for individual subscription and you won’t have to pay for junk TV Channels you are forced to pay through the nose for from cable/satellite providers. Maybe someday someone will find a way to sell TV a la carte.
ESPN is the very latest channel to announce it will offer direct subscriptions in 2015, joining HBO and CBS. According to Cablevision CEO James Dolan: “A significant number of channels are preparing to do likewise.”
