Convicted Sex Offender Larry Wayne Putnam of Rockwell Caught Living Near Knollwood Elementary School

♦ Convicted sex offender Larry Wayne Putnam of Rockwell was picked up by Rowan County Sheriff’s deputies for living too close to Knollwood Elementary School.  In 2006 Putnam was convicted of taking indecent liberties with a child. He must maintain a lifetime registration as a sex offender.

Putnam is charged  with failing to notify the Rowan Sheriff’s Office about a change of address, living in a premises near children, and felony larceny.  His bond was set at $10,000 and he is now being held in the Rowan County Detention Center.

Putnam’s criminal record stretches back to 1995, includes charges of breaking and entering.
