♦ Lawrence Richard Dudley, 59, of Cedar Drive, in Salisbury, N.C. was arrested for multiple sexual offenses with 2 children known to him. On Tuesday afternoon Dudley was charged with two counts of first-degree statutory rape, 11 counts of taking indecent liberties with children under 13, four counts of first-degree sexual offense with a victim under 13 and three counts of dissemination of pornography to minors under the age of 13.
The alleged incidents in question date back to Sept. 25, 2007, and also occurred as late as May 1, 2010. The 2 victims were said to be of elementary school age at the time of the alleged offenses.
Dudley, being held under a $750,000 bond, is now in the Rowan County Detention Center.
