♦ Henry Herman Blackenship,69, of the 1500 block of South Main St. and once convicted of 2nd degree murder, was arrested Friday on South Main Street in Salisbury, N.C. after selling 150 oxycodone pills (hillbilly heroin) to an undercover deputy from the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office. Blackenship also sold oxycodone to undercover investigators in August and September of 2014.
Blankenship, owns an extensive criminal history, spent 23 years in prison for 2nd degree murder in Iredell County and was released in 2012 from the N.C. Department of Corrections.
Charged with 3 count of trafficking heroin/opium, 3 counts of possession with intent to sell or deliver oxycodone, and 2 counts of selling and delivering oxycodone, Blankenship’s bond was set at $750,000. He is now in the Rowan County Detention Center.
