Salisbury’s “Gold Dust Twins” Michael Dale Bost and Michael Justin Putnam Alleged Streak of Car Break-ins Ends

♦ Salisbury, N.C.’s “Gold Dust Twins” Michael Dale Bost, 25, of Drew Circle and Michael Justin Putnam of Sidney Drive were arrested by the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office for an alleged streak
of car vehicle break-ins.

Back on the night of December 20th and in the early morning hours of December 21st Rowan County Sheriff’s investigators, with the aid of the NC DMV, learned of a series of vehicle break-ins.  The suspects were described as white males seen in a red van pulling out of “The Grand”, an apartment complex on Julian Road.  Other reports described several cars being broken into in the Stone Mill complex off of Old Concord Road.  Reported stolen were $300 worth baseball cards, a wallet with cash, $60 worth of CD’s.  Missing from other vehicles were a $200 Garmin GPS unit, a Vera Bradley handbag, assorted tools, clothing, bullets, a rifle, GPS units and binoculars.Over the course of the investigation Bost and Putnam became suspects.  The pair’s vehicle was said to match a suspected vehicle.

Bost was arrested on Thursday on charges larceny of a firearm, larceny (felony), breaking and entering a vehicle –RR cars and other motor vehicles, Larceny (misdemeanor). Bost received a $50,000 secured bond and is now in the Rowan County Detention Center. 

Late Friday Putnam was arrested on charges of breaking and entering a motor vehicle, Larceny (felony), Larceny (misdemeanor), and larceny of a firearm. Putnam was jailed in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $5000 secured bond.
