♦ Rowan Free Press received dozens of emails and Facebook messages from irate Fibrant customers about Firbrant’s being down most of the morning. Fully expected with the “mature” recycled equipment they are using. The debacle continues! Victims unable to reach Fibrant HQ for an explanation.
Fibrant network down starting late last night according to several subscribers. The outage continued throughout the morning and into early evening until areas of the network started coming back on line. They hope to have most of the network restored by Panther’s game time. They are alleging the collapse was the result of a hit and run accident on South Main.
“The fiber optics were burned by power lines that fell during the accident, which makes the repairs a bit more difficult. It will be late afternoon by the time the fibers are repaired. The additional crews should help. Hang in there and know your local crews are working as fast as possible!” From Fibrant’s Facebook.
