♦ As Salisbury, N.C.’s meth epidemic mushrooms, Jared Anthony McManus, 31, alleged Salisbury meth chemist, was arrested at his garage lab Friday.
After obtaining a warrant to search McManus’s house on Candlewick Drive, Salisbury Police discovered precursor chemicals commonly employed in meth manufacture. Also uncovered was a single-pot methamphetamine lab in his garage.
McManus was charged with manufacture of Control Substance II, traffic in drugs, possession of immediate precursor chemical, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
McManus, under a $100,000 secured bond, was booked into the Rowan County Detention Center.
In August 2014 McManus was charged with possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia.
