♦ Over the last few months Salisbury CVS and Walgreens pharmacies were robbed by gunman stuffing their plastic bags with Oxycodone and any cash they can score. Rockwell’s CVS and Spencer’s Wallgreens were tipped over by these hillbilly heroin bandits. Apparently oxycodone pills are highly valued on the streets of Salisbury, N.C. and out in the county.
On January the 9th the CVS pharmacy at 1702 E. Innes Street was robbed at gunpoint by a thin white male about 6 feet tall, bearded, and wearing a camo jacket, camo trousers, and a black hat. He was brandishing a revolver when he strode up to the CVS pharmacy counter and told the pharmacy workers to get on the deck.
Commanding the pharmacist to open the CVS pair of safes and dump the safe’s contents into a bag. Oxycodone and Opana pills were said to be the bandit’s bounty. He fled in the direction of Newsome Road and melted away into the Salisbury evening.
Police sources believe the CVS bandit fits the description as the same suspect who robbed a CVS pharmacy back on December 18th. His security cam photo matches up well with what witnesses saw in Salisbury.
If you have any information about the robber please call the Salisbury-Rowan Crime Stoppers at: 1-866-639-5295.
