♦ David Clayton Moore, 32, was shot in his SUV while pulling into a driveway on the 700 block of Park Avenue Friday Night in Salisbury. Moore, suffering from blood loss from his gunshot wound to his back, was transported to Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center where he underwent emergency surgery. His condition is not yet known.
Park Avenue neighbors heard a single gunshot and called the Salisbury Police around 11:30 p.m. Moore was said to have fallen to the ground after emerging from the SUV. Neighbors found the victim bleeding near his vehicle and waited until the police started arriving.
Police investigators combed the Park Avenue neighborhood Friday night hunting for clues and anyone who might’ve witnessed the shooting. No leads or motive known for this attempted murder.

Moore is apparently a registered sex offender with a second degree rape on his record.
