♦ Ernest Erdman, 41, trying to sell a Chick-Fil-A gift card in the Burger King Parking Lot on E. Innes, had his gift card snatched along with $10 cash by a Ford Ranger pick-up driver who sped away, knocking Erdman to the ground. Erdman attempted to grab the wheel of the Ford Ranger, but wound up on the deck with minor scrapes and bruises. A Dodge van, parked nearby, was hit during the Ford pick-up’s rapid exit from the Burger King lot.
The Ford Ranger was described as having an extended bed. The robber was described as a hungry non-descript white male with reddish-brown hair.
Moral of the story: Don’t try to sell Chik-Fil-A gift cards at the “Home of the Whopper”.
