♦ With retail stores shuttering left and right in Salisbury, N.C. another long timer at the Innes Street Market (Tinseltown area) “Ann Crittenden Hallmark”, famous for their cards and knick-knacks, is officially closing their doors on February the 24th. Currently the aging greeting card giant is conducting a closing sale with many items at 50% off.
Like many small retailers in Salisbury they suffer mightily from locals shifting their buying habits to the internet or motoring to shopping meccas in Concord, Huntersville, or Mooresville. Hallmark also sells their greeting cards in other venues.
Hallmark is currently closing underperforming brick and mortar stores across the U.S.A.
On a happier note the manager and one of the staff will land jobs at Hallmark corporate in Greensboro, N.C.
