♦ David Joe Holshouser, 44, a Rowan County career criminal and fugitive from justice in El Paso, Colorado, was arrested at his family’s home on Lillian Circle along with his girlfriend Deborah Cherie Meazell, Kimberly Norine Lee, and Bobby Holshouser. The Sheriff’s Office received a tip from authorities in El Paso, Colorado that David Joe Holshouser was hold up at the house on Lillian Road in Salisbury, N.C.. Sheriff’s deputies after a brief search of the house found the fugitive hiding under a blanket in a bedroom. David Joe Holshouser was charged as a fugitive from justice, booked at 6 a.m. and held without bond at the Rowan County Detention Center. He will remain at the Rowan County Detention Center until Colorado authorities transport him back to Colorado where he faces violation of probation charges.
David Joe Holshouser’s criminal record is extensive and goes back to 1986, including a prison escape back in 1995. Much of it can be found here:
Bobby Holshouser and Deborah Norine Meazell allegedly told deputies that David was not on the premises, but the deputies persisted in their room to room search until they found the fugitive under the blanket.
Deborah Cherie Meazell, 44, was charged with resist/delay/obstruct an officer was put under a $2,000 secure bond and placed in the Rowan County Detention Center.
Bobby Eugene Holshouser,42, was charged with resist/delay/obstruct an officer, was put under a $2,000 secure bond and placed in the Rowan County Detention Center
Kimberly Norine Lee, 43, was charged with resist/delay/obstruct an officer. She was released with a written promise to appear.
