♦ David Todd Lomax, 43, of the 1000 block of 4th Street in Spencer, allegedly strolled up to his former wife’s husband at Nashville Nights bar on East Innes St. and lit into him with a beer mug to the head. The incident occurred just before closing on Monday night. Byron Robinson, 44, woozy and bloodied from the allegedly unprovoked attack, was transported to the emergency room at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center where received 20 stitches and may face surgery.
Lomax was charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. Issued a $500 secured bond, Lomax was later released from the Rowan County Detention Center.
