♦ Musipedia: The Open Music Encyclopedia. Musipedia is inspired by, but not affiliated with Wikipedia. Musipedia is building a searchable, editable, and expandable collection of tunes, melodies, and musical themes.
At the Musipedia website you will be able to search and find the name of ANY tune. Musipedia uses the “Melodyhound” melody search software. You can find and identify a tune even if the melody is all you know. You can play it on a piano keyboard, whistle it into a computer microphone, simply tap the rhythm on the computer keyboard, or use the Parsons code. In short you can identify any piece of music whether its modern rock, doo wop, blues, jazz, marches, gospel, old timey, country, show tunes, classical music–just about any curious tune or rhythm you might encounter in the digital age. You will know the title of that piece of music within moments of searching it with the software on Musipedia. Never be stumped by tune you ever hear again.
