♦ Rowan County Sheriff’s Deputies arrived at a home in the 500 block of Eudy Road in China Grove, N.C. where they discovered the bodies of Kimberly, 40, and Steve Allen, 47, at 2 p.m. Sunday. The husband and wife both died of gunshot wounds to the head. According to sources in the Sheriff’s Department the couple were likely part of a murder-suicide.
The Allen’s family, after failed attempts to reach the couple since Wednesday February 12th, broke into the house by removing the back door and found the husband and wife dead in their bedroom.
It is alleged that Steve Allen suffered from depression over medical conditions. Investigators now believe the evidence points to the Steve shooting his wife Kimberly, then turning the gun on himself. The husband has a previous brush with the law over a road rage incident.
The investigation is ongoing.
