♦ It’s hard to stomach what has become of the Salisbury. A desperate city where more and more businesses are closing down and the city’s top minds want to blockade Downtown to motor vehicles and make it a bicycle and pedestrian only. On top of that they want slow East Innes to a crawl with green medians and bike lanes. If the big time crime in the Bury and the lack of much to come there for in the first place isn’t creating enough natural barriers, I don’t know what will.
Then I read the other day that “bicycles in Salisbury will reduce crime”. Guess the fella who floated that bolt of lightening never noticed the more bicycles you have, the higher the rate of bike thievery and the more women get dragged off their bicycles to find a home in the weeds. Just observin’. Most of the time, if you have the bad luck of passing through Salisbury if you see a bicycle at all its those half-pint bikes which drug couriers employ to make a heroin or crack handoffs on South Main.
