New Charges Brought Against Phillip Goodman, 29, for Assisting a 15-Year Old Rowan County Girl Run Away from Home

♦ On Tuesday Phillip Goodman,29, of Crown Point Circle in Concord, was additionally charged with 2nd degree kidnapping (felony) and 2 charges of soliciting by computer (felony) after an intensive investigation concerning a missing 15-year old Rowan girl. The initial charge was contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Goodman allegedly met the youngster on line through the use of social media and Skype.

Goodman was said to have picked the 15-year old near her home last Friday in Rowan County and assisted in her running away from home.  He allegedly drove her to his apartment in Concord.  The youngster left the apartment on the March the 23rd and was reported to the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office a short time later.

On March the 23rd Goodman was arrested and charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.  Placed under a $1,000 secured bond, he was sent to the Rowan County Detention Center where he was released a short time later.

Today Goodman received the additional charges and was placed under a $25,000 secured bond.  He is now in the Rowan County Detention Center.
