♦ Lane Bailey, 51, was sworn in as Salisbury’s City Manager at Tuesday’s City Council Meeting. The new City Manager was accompanied by his wife Ruth and two children Brennan and Katherine.
Mr. Bailey follows in the wake of Doug Paris’s mysterious departure. Paris succeeded David Treme who retired. Mr. Bailey takes on the daunting job of a city in crisis.
The Rowan Free Press wishes the new City Manager the best of luck. Be secure in the knowledge that code enforcement has strict orders to run off Frosty the Snowman should he appear anywhere within the city limits.
