♦ Rodney Allen “Cadillac” Shannon, 35, a homeless man with a mile long criminal record, was roused from his slumbers early Monday morning by the Salisbury Police. Shannon was passed out on a porch on the 200 block West Lafayette Street. Apparently Shannon was an uninvited guest as the police and Salisbury firefighters soon learned after they woke him. Reeking of alcohol and disheveled, Shannon appeared disoriented during his patting down. A cigarette pack containing crack rocks was found on Shannon’s person.
Shannon was charged with (felony) possession of a control substance II (crack). Placed under a $1,000 secures bond, Shannon has found more secure sleeping quarters and 3 squares at the Rowan County Detention Center. Mama tried.
