♦ I read several online news accounts where Ralph Wager, the former men’s soccer coach at Catawba College in Salisbury, was quoted.  Here’s an adult supposedly teaching youngsters how to play soccer and provide them mentoring and instead this sexual psychopath is acting out the most vile pedophilic fantasies imaginable.  What sickened me yesterday was reading Wager’s words to his former victims.  Truly he got off light with life imprisonment in some special geriatric prison.  At least this coach will be kept away from children.

Wager said on Monday: “I’ve got no hard feelings toward any of them.”  What?  He has no ill will for any of his victims speaking up?  Seriously Wager’s brain needs to be on display in a glass beaker in the “Great Hall of Criminal Minds”.  This guy is a confessed child predator and he’s forgiving his victims?

In somber spiritual reflection, Wager said: “It’s important we all achieve forgiveness.”  And then in the throws of compassion, the former soccer coach told the media he has tremendous respect and love for all of his victims. “I apologize for all I’ve done.”

Moments later his words went strange again.  He encouraged his victims to visit him in prison.  It’s like he had no sense of the damage he did these men as youngsters and no doubt others who have not yet stepped forward to report Wager’s predatory assaults.  The idea of his victims being forgiven and visiting him in prison is beyond crazy.

Save for maybe the late serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer and his fascination with Skil Drill dating, Wager ranks as one of the sickest puppies ever.

Ralph Wager do the world a favor and volunteer for an ISIS prisoner exchange.  Such volunteerism would lend meaning to your pathetic existence and provide some semblance of redemption.

And parents be careful to whom you entrust your children.  Predators are everywhere and often in the least expected places.
