Rebecca Baily Dye, 63, of the 100 block of Stanley Street in Salisbury was charged at 1 a.m. Thursday with making harassing phone calls and cyber-stalking her ex husband James Dye with whom Ms. Dye has been divorced from since 1987 and has a lengthy history of periodic harassment.
In Ms. Dye latest scrape with law enforcement she allegedly made several posts on Facebook calling her ex husband: “pedophile”, “pervert”, “racist” and “animal abuser”.
Reading through Rebecca Bailey Dye’s record of harassment at the N.C. DOJ (posted below) brings to mind various pithy admonitions concerning marriage: “Hell hath no fury than a woman scorned” and “Be careful about who you marry–“it” may come back to haunt you”.

Ms. Dye was charged with making harassing phone calls (misdemeanor) and cyber-stalking (misdemeanor). She is currently in the Rowan County Detention Center under a $5,000 bond.
