♦ Sadly I learned last night from friends in the Bury that one of my favorite BBQ spots in Salisbury, Rick’s BBQ at 929 S. Main Street, is closing its doors. I’m told the Rick Foster, the owner is shutting down the popular restaurant and C&W karaoke venue due to health reasons and the city’s closing the Klumac Road railroad crossing which hurt business.
I often stopped at Rick’s BBQ after getting my haircut at Bill the Barber’s (best barber in Salisbury) on South Main, ate lunch and read the newspaper. The staff was really nice.
Greatly enjoyed listening to the C&W karaoke whenever I happened by in the early evening. Once heard Judy Klusman belting out a country western song in Ricks’s. Move over Tammy Wynette!
