♦ Here are two recent articles appearing in the broadband trade magazine CED concerning the possible Comcast–Time Warner Cable merger that the FCC is examining. Many industry insiders now believe the probability of the merger occurring are slim or if it does get a pass, major conditions will be imposed by the FCC.
A strong possibility exists that if the merger fails, Charter Communications, a well-regarded Midwest broadband company who recently acquired Bright House, stands an excellent chance of acquiring Time Warner Cable.
