♦ With the stink of low grade reefer in the air, the Salisbury Police followed up a tip that they would find “crack” at house on the 1000 block of Grady Street. Upon arrival the police spotted Demarcus Deshawn Tracey, 22, of Salisbury, headed to his vehicle parked in front of the Grady house in question. The officers searched Tracey and found a small quantity of weed on him. Soon they were knocking on the door of the Grady Street house and the door opened to them, revealing the heavy scent of marijuana.
After obtaining a search warrant, officers began a methodical search of the Grant Street house’s interior and turned up 38 ounces of crack, over 100 grams of marijuana, several digital scales, and two handguns. Better yet they arrested Marquise Sential Robinson, 22, of North Long Street in Salisbury, wanted for an outstanding warrant for an assault on a woman (misdemeanor).
Tracey was charged with possession with intent to manufacture a controlled substance schedule IV (misdemeanor), possession of marijuana (felony), possession of cocaine (felony), possession of drug paraphernalia (misdemeanor), and possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture (crack cocaine) (felony).
Issued a $20,000 secured bond, Tracey was booked into the Rowan County Detention Center and has since been released.
Marquise Sential Robinson was charged with assault on a female (misdemeanor), and was booked into the Rowan County Detention Center without a bond and was shortly released.
