♦ Brian Tracy Carroll, 45, of 3130 Lentz Road and Rowan County’s promoter of one-man nudist colonies, is back in the Rowan County Detention Center. Allegedly Carroll stiffed a cabdriver on a $34 dollar fare from Salisbury, N.C. to his solo nudist lair out in Rowan County on May 10th. Only last week Carroll was arrested and charged with sitting naked in his backyard in full view of a teenage girl on horseback and threatening a neighbor with a AK-47.
Carroll, never one to sidestep exposure, allegedly ducked into his home to get the cabfare and never came out to give the cabdriver his due. The cabdriver called the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office for assistance in settling the dispute. When a deputy arrived at Carroll’s home, he got a runaround from someone claiming to be Carroll’s Brother-in-Law who said that Carroll’s wife Betty was on the way over to pay the fare. No such luck. Turned out that Carroll’s wife high-tailed it to West Virginia allegedly exhausted by hubby’s activities and his recent promotion of solo public nudity.
Carroll was charged with hiring to defraud and is currently residing in the Rowan County Detention under a $500 secured bond. He will have a court hearing on June 9th.
