♦ Janet Ruffin will bring 32 years of experience to Rowan County on June 1st when she takes the helm as the new Pretrial Services Coordinator. County Manager Aaron Church stated, “We are very fortunate to have Janet coming on board.”
Ruffin’s career started in 1983 at the University of Chapel Hill as an Accounting Tech III in the Investment Office and transferred to the Department of Crime Control and Public Safety in 1987 as a Community Service Coordinator. Ruffin has worked in Person Granville, Vance, Cabarrus, Stanly, Union, Anson, Richmond and Rowan County. Ruffin has been in a supervisory role since 1989 including Supervised and Unsupervised Community Service cases as well as Probation intake from court and currently serves on the State Employees Credit Union Advisory Board. During her career she graduated from the Criminal Investigator Certification Program and Criminal Justice Instructor Certification Program at the North Carolina Justice Academy.
Ruffin stated, “My entire career has been about public service to the State of North Carolina and to it’s citizens. I look forward to serving the citizens of Rowan County in a greater capacity now.”
