Public Announcement

♦ On June 17th, Working Films, Clean Water for North Carolina, and Constance Partee Johnson are hosting a free event to the public called “Fracking Stories.” Fracking Stories will take place from 7-8:30 p.m.at the Rowan Public Library on 201 W. Fisher Street in Salisbury.  Fracking Stories is a series of short documentaries from all over the US that include people from many backgrounds and socioeconomic classes. The residents of these towns and cities talk about all the negative impacts that fracking had on their communities.

Again, this is a free event sponsored by a few nonprofits in N.C.  We are trying to educate the public about the dangers of fracking before they are approached by landmen seeking to purchase their mineral rights and drill on their property.
