♦ Tuesday at around 2:45 a.m 2 men, wearing stocking masks over their faces, walked into the Express Mart at 2720 West C Street in Enochville and held up a male clerk with a pistol. The haul was an estimated $100 in Cash and a carton of Newport menthol cigarettes. Other items may have been taken from the rear of the convenience store. The two robbers disappeared on foot.
The clerk described the robbers as white males between 16 to 19 years-old wearing dark clothing and dark shorts. One of the robbers sported shoulder-length blond hair.
The Sheriff’s Office brought a k-9 to the scene shortly after the robbery and attempted to track the bandits. The scent was soon lost on Timway Drive where a getaway vehicle may have spirited the pair away.
