♦ Melvin Antonio Maxwell, 30, of Owl Drive in Rowan County and Quamesha Dijonte Sifford, 22, of North Long Street in East Spencer were pulled over in Maxwell’s Chevvy Tahoe Friday. During a search of the vehicle police officers found 21 grams of crack and a 9-mm semiautomatic pistol belonging to Maxwell a convicted felon and prohibited from having a firearm.
Maxwell was arrested and charged with a firearm possession by a felon prohibited (felony), possession with intent to manufacture/sell/distribute a controlled substance schedule II (felony), maintain a dwelling/vehicle for a controlled substance (felony). Placed under a $200,00 secured bond, Maxwell is now in the Rowan County Detention Center.
Sifford was arrested and charged possession with intent to manufacture/sell/distribute a controlled substance schedule II (felony). Placed under a $50,000 secured bond, Sifford was since released from the Rowan County Detention Center.
