♦ Tuesday evening Sylvia Quantina “Mocha” Dunn, 33, of the streets of Salisbury, attracted a citizen’s attention when she lay on the street and began taking her clothes off at 499 North Clay Street near East Cemetery Street. Salisbury Police officers, arriving on the scene noted Dunn’s alleged state of apparent “impairment”. When the officers questioned her about her name she became generous and offered them three. She claimed she lived on East Cemetery, but the officers could never establish that address.
After Dunn was handcuffed and assisted into the patrol car, she allegedly spat at the officer and tried to kick out the vehicle’s rear window. To cap a wonderful night on the town in Old Salisbury Dunn was charged with injury to personal property (misdemeanor) and malicious conduct by prisoners (felony). Under a secured $4,000 bond, Dunn was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center in Salisbury.
