Salisbury Police Bust a Carload of Alleged West End Shooters and Allegedly Faced Resistance in Making Arrests

♦ Sunday morning the Salisbury Police received a dispatch that neighbors heard multiple gunshots on Lloyd Street and described the gray Chevvy Impala allegedly witnessed at the scene.  Police, already patrolling the area, responded to the call.  In short order the Chevvy Impala was spotted with one of its front headlights out.  An officer pulled the car over.  When he approached the car, he smelled pot.  One of the occupants allegedly admitted holding a “joint”.

When the officer searched the Chevvy Impala, he allegedly found 3 handguns (a Ruger 9 mm, a Sccy/Spx2 9 mm, and a 40-caliber), $455 in paper currency, 8 grams of marijuana, several boxes of ammo, and digital scales.

After the officers arrived at police HQ they began to buck trouble.  Ebin Shaheed Williams, 19, of South Lee Street in Salisbury, allegedly refused to sit down and wound up kicking officer Scrip in the head.  That lead to Williams allegedly being Tazed and placed in leg shackles.  Still shackled, he allegedly tried his luck kicking again and spitting at  officers.

Ebin Shaheed Williams was charged assault on an officer (misdemeanor), resist,/obstruct/delay an officer (misdemeanor), communicating threats against an officer (misdemeanor), possession of a firearm by felon (felony).  Under a secured $40,000 bond, Williams was held in the Rowan County Detention Center.

Chad Antonio Wilks, 19 of Lloyd Street in Salisbury, was charged with carrying a concealed weapon (misdemeanor), possession with intent to manufacture/sell/deliver a controlled substance schedule VI (felony), and resist/obstruct/delay an officer (misdemeanor). Under a secured $4,000 bond, Wilks was in the Rowan County Detention Center until his release on bond.

Timothy Dwaye Rhodes, 19, of Lloyd Street in Salisbury, was charged with carrying a concealed weapon (misdemeanor), Under a secured $1,000 bond, Rhodes was in the Rowan County Detention Center until his release on bond.

Destini Taira Brashae Kimery, 18, of Tanglewood Drive in East Spencer was charged with carrying a concealed weapon (felony).  Under a secured $500 bond, she was held in the Rowan County Detention Center until her release on bond.
