♦Thank you Will McCubbins for telling it like it is in today’s Letter-to-the-Editor: “A Response to Eva GeoRene Jones Who Died and Made Me Queen.” I and many others were alarmed by Eva GeoRene Jones and her friend trying to take over the commissioner’s “special meeting” even though it was clearly stated at the meeting’s outset there would be no public commentary period. The county commissioners had every legal right to have no public commentary during a “special Meeting”. There are those among the “self-ordained” who will put themselves above the law. Like RCC, Moral Monday, and various other entitled groups like Occupy Whatever think no laws apply to them. Chairman Jim Sides gaveled these two angry women out-of-order and got the meeting back on track.
Its sad how these two women, several faith groups, and an attorney were played by a certain county commissioner who leaked information from a commission closed-session meeting. The same commissioner has various “convictions” other than moral ones and who yet again faces prosecution this time for misuse of county property. His groupies throw themselves on his every word.
