♦ You should be upset this morning, but make sure it’s directed to the right people.
Don’t be upset with Trump or those who voted for him. Instead, be angry with those who didn’t care enough about their Country, their future, their community or their livelihood to vote.
Be upset with those who didn’t take the time to understand the candidates, the issues, or the political process to vote smart and strategically.
Be upset that we have no real Black leadership in organizations that should’ve helped the community vote cohesively and collectively.
Be upset that we spent more time on Facebook posturing and arguing amongst each other than ensuring we got the vote out.
I took two new first time voters to the poll this year while ensuring they understood the candidates and issues. How many did that?
People of color are 52.9% of the population here but what do we do to leverage that?
It’s disingenuous to be mad at White people or those who voted for Trump or other candidates. They got behind their candidate.
Look at the numbers below and ask if we got behind our candidates and supported them? Then get mad for the right reason.
