♦ Every so often law enforcement investigators turn up strange objects, body parts, and homemade weapons that defy explanation in Salisbury’s vortex of crime. Imagine a seasoned crime scene investigator stumbling across White Cannibal Pazuzu Algarad’s first blood? Donald Ray Morgan’s diary proclaiming his allegiance to ISIS? Or entering an abode with a malodorous chemical odor of a meth lab and finding an incendiary bomb plant allegedly manned by a chemist who looks remarkably like Rasputin.
According to sources in the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office Adam Seth Anderson, 32, of 5520 Old Mocksville Road in Salisbury, was arrested Wednesday in Salisbury and charged with possession/manufacture of weapons of mass destruction (felony), manufacture of control substance schedule II (felony), maintain dwelling/vehicle for controlled substance (felony), possession of drug paraphernalia (felony), larceny (misdemeanor), and trespass (2nd degree) (misdemeanor). Under a secure $51,500 bond, Anderson was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center.

Dwelling with Anderson at 5520 Old Mocksville Road, Sebrina Lachel Carpenter, 36, was charged with manufacture control substance schedule II (felony). Under a secured $2,500 bond, Carpenter was held in the Rowan County Detention Center until her release on bail.

Rowan County Sheriff’s Office investigators were allegedly tipped off by the Salisbury-Rowan Crime Stoppers that Anderson and Carpenter were allegedly involved in the manufacture of meth and perhaps incendiary bombs. Anderson and Carpenter were alleged to be making purchases of a precursor chemical pseudoephedrine used in making meth. A third person, living at 5520 Old Mocksville Road, identified as Charles Ramsey was alleged to be making multiple purchases of pseudoephedrine. Before long search warrants were obtained for the Old Mocksville Road address.
On Wednesday the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office, the Salisbury Police Department, the “bomb squad” from the Cabarrus County Sheriff’s office, and the SBI served the warrant. Law enforcement found the remains of a meth lab, ammo, the materials (potassium nitrate and sugar) employed in incendiary bomb manufacture as well their recipes. Chemicals, used to make meth, were found.
The largest questions remains unanswered. Why were incendiary bombs being manufactured at 5520 Old Mocksville Road? What organizations or individuals would purchase those bombs?
