♦ Burglaries throughout Salisbury are up during November and December. On Friday morning the Dollar General budget supermarket on 2112 Mooresville Road was the victim of a burglary–forcible entry according to sources in the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office. The crime was reported to 911 dispatch at 5 a.m. An employee noticed the glass and metal entry door damaged by a prying tool and the store’s safe was gone with $3,797 in it. The missing safe and the damaged glass and metal door were valued at an estimated $1,000.
The store’s security camera showed a male suspect wearing a coat/hoodie over his head.
