♦ Rowan County Sheriff’s Office sources reported that Wayne Bradshaw,62, living on the 400 block of Lakeshore Drive in Salisbury (High Rock Lake) was the victim of a burglary–unlawful entry on Monday. Sheriff’s Office deputies were summoned Bradshaw’s home at 6:06 p.m. Investigators found that someone had let themselves into the home and left with $36,000 in cash.
A suspect was quickly developed and is said to be known to Mr. Bradshaw.
The investigation continues. No arrests have been made at this time.

♦ Sources in the Rowan County Sheriff’s Office report that Jonathan Paul Holshouser, 34, a convicted felon living on 170 Eller Drive, in Salisbury, N.C. was arrested Monday afternoon at 305 Mitchell Street in East Spencer, N.C. for his alleged involvement in a number of recent break-ins and larcenies at Rowan County businesses. Included in the list were the alleged break-ins at the Raja Mart on Mooresville Road in Salisbury (August), Dollar General on Mooresville Road in Salisbury (December) where a safe was carried off, Gold Hill Market (December), and the Lion’s Share Federal Credit Union on Harrison Road (late December) where a stolen truck was used to batter an ATM on the side of the building. Holshouser, alleged to be part of a ring. also was said to be involved with a Dollar General Break-in in Davie County and a larceny in Irredell County.

Holshouser was charged with 4 counts of breaking and entering a building (felony), larceny (felony), attempted larceny (felony), felony larceny–committed pursuant to viol of GS 14-51, 54, and larceny motor vehicle (felony). Under a secured $75,000 bond, he is being held in the Rowan County Detention Center.
