♦ According to Salisbury Police Department sources Knox Computer Business, what many in Salisbury consider the top computer and electronics repair shop, at 512 Klumac Road, reported their business was burglarized at 12:19 a.m. Soon neighbors in the area heard the all-too-familiar sirens of the Salisbury Police vehicles pouring into the area. Someone broke a window to get into the business. Officers were on the lookout for a beige 1992 Buick Riviera linked to Knox Business Machines break-in.

Within minutes patrol officers located the Buick Riviera sitting with its engine idling in the middle of Ryan Street near Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue. Mysteriously no one was in the vehicle. When an officer shined his flashlight in the car he noted a Crossman pellet handgun on the driver’s seat and a TV, allegedly stolen from Knox Computer Business.

In short order arriving police began searching the area. A familiar face emerged from a nearby wooded area. Covered with grass, breathless, and sweating profusely, Demmanuelle Tyyan “Spyda” Fincher, 20, a Salisbury felon living on North Church St., spoke rapidly with tension in his voice. “Spyda” told the officers that was his car and it had been stolen. The officers were not buying the story. “Spyda” was soon in handcuffs and placed in the rear of a patrol car.
Fincher was charged with breaking and entering–building (felony), 2 counts of possessing stolen goods (misdemeanor), and larceny after breaking and entry (felony). Under a secured $7,500 bond, he was placed in the Rowan County Detention Center.
Salisbury Police allegedly identified Fincher’s haul as 2 televisions (valued at $700), 5 mobile phones (valued at $1,500), 3 computers (video and terminals valued at $3,000), a Crossman pellet handgun (valued at $50). Damage to the door was set at $1,000. 2 license plates were also stolen (valued at $70). All of the electronics were recovered.
