♦ Salisbury Police sources report that a larceny–all other occurred just after 5 p.m. when a sportily dressed couple strolled through the doors of the ABC Store in the Ketner Center at 1636 W. Innes Street. The woman, described as Black with gold-blond tinted hair, large sunglasses, and a fashionable brown jacket, walked to the liquor store’s rear and requested the clerk assist her with selecting “drinks” for an upcoming party. Several minutes later a man, described as Black, in his 40’s, sporting a blue blazer, gray trousers, and fashionable shoes and appearing like a Yachtsman set for a night on the town, walked through the front door and browsed his way unnoticed into the store’s office. Meanwhile his mademoiselle occupied the clerks. In and out of the office, the man stuffed his pockets with $812 from an office drawer before walking calmly out of the store.
The larceny was so slick it went unnoticed until a few hours later when store personnel noted the office cash drawer was pillaged and alerted 911 at 7:59 p.m.
